I am just a woman who loves to embrace every part of me.  I am inspired daily by my faith, my husband, my children, and life period. I want to share some inspiration here through my creativity, love for fashion, and all things glam in hopes that it inspires someone else.

SELF-TAUGHT?

This isn't your typical Teach Yourself Fashion "movement". As a self-taught designer, I have researched and studied for many years to teach myself to sew, draft patterns, and learn all things design. I am a creative who does not limit myself in how I learn. I went to school for Marketing with a desire to go to Fashion School. Teaching myself fashion was something I did not think was possible. When I started my journey, I limited myself to the rules that was presented in the form of education. It wasn't until I allowed my creativity to lead my learning that I began to naturally learn and grow as a creative. This movement is not just about learning fashion, it is about getting to finding yourself as a creative.

 

Learning fashion design took me down a creative path that didn't limit me to just fashion. My self-taught journey didn't just teach me fashion, it taught me about myself.  It inspired me to embrace my uniqueness in becoming what I knew I was all along. I didn't focus on the status quo to define my success and potential.  I focused on my passion and path.  On this journey grace yourself and pace yourself. No one path is the same. Teaching yourself fashion is a journey that will push you to embrace YOU. I may present an outline of learning, but you set the tone of how you learn and where your learning will take you.
